Skunks are BAD

I'm sending out this message to all huskies (and otherpups) out there. Stay away from those things called skunks.

I won't go into too much detail, but there was an 'incident' last night, and I have not fully recovered. Apparently, these skunks are part of a secret ninja society of rodents (such as opossums and squirrels) that have secret weapons unheard of by the mainstream canine. As a result of my altercation with one such ninja rodent, I was subjected to not 1, not 2, but 3 baths last night, all with very powerful, stinky and sometimes fizzy concoctions. My Mom was also none to happy, and I was banished to living room to sleep.

Her and the DeeLan were quite agitated (I dunno what they are so upset about... they're not the ones who can't smell anything anymore and are still damp and defluffed from the multitude of baths) this morning, complaining that everything in the house stinks.

So yeah... stay away from skunks. My advice to you... it isn't worth it, even for the glory...

Frodo,
I'm very sorry to hear about your skunk encounter. Three baths in one day is borderline abuse. We say a skunk one morning on our walk. Dad quickly took us in the other direction.

Later,
Althea

Oh no Frodo, not 3 baths! Better stay away from those nasty skunks (do you think they're part of the feline family?)

3 baths!!! You poor, poor puppy! Why would parents do something so horrible to you just because you were trying to be friendly to the skunk? Macie and Malechai are probably right. Skunks must be part cat and have your parents under a spell.

Hey Fo Fo - Too bad that you had a SKUNK incounter. I hope that you are smelling better now. Mom is on a Siberian Husky listserve.. and they recently posted some info about de-skunking that your mom may want to put up for later.

Hi Frodo! THREE baths in one day?!?! We can not imagine what that must have been like. But that skunk smell is pretty awful. Dad grew up on a farm and he said that the dogs they had tried to get the skunks there too. They were outside only dogs so they didn't have to get a bath and they would smell bad for like 2 weeks. You should tell your human that now you won't need a bath for like 3 years!! We are new to Dogs With Blogs and would like you to come see us sometime. Belly Rubs, Tasha & Eva.
